Our aim at The Anchor Inn is to provide our customers with the service - comfort and feel of a bygone England - All our luxurious double rooms and suites are filled with books and photographs that serve as reminders of years gone by and those great English men and women that - through great strength and courage - created history that in some way has impacted on all our lives and for all time - The style of food we produce at the Anchor is typical English pub fare using the best English seasonal produce which is either sourced as locally as possible or within the British Isles - Resident parties can reserve tables in one of three public dining areas - The Snug- which is a small bar with open fire - wooden floors and panelled walls - The Saloon- which has an open fire and wooden floors or the main dining room - Guests are advised to make reservations for tables when booking rooms to avoid disappointment |
