The hotel is situated in the centre of Alvdalen with nearness to shops, and all types of service. The fully licensed hotel restaurant is famous for good food and listed in the White Guide. You will find traditional Swedish cuisine as well as a la carte based on game and local produce. The hotel is fully air-conditioned for best comfort and a good night sleep. For families with larger children you will find 16 Family rooms with 4 beds each. Whirlpool with men s and ladies saunas is available in the hotel as well as indoor 50 meters swimming pool near the hotel. All rooms have WC, shower, phones, Sat-TV etc. Internet is available and there are special rooms for allergic and disabled persons. Elevator to all floors and public areas. Reception is open 7 - 22 (8 - 22) and they gladly help with money exchange, general tourist information etc. The hotels largest conference room seats 150 persons. |

Alvdalen is located between some of Sweden s most famous tourist areas such as Mora, Salen and Idre. With the nearness to these areas you will find lots of activities both in the winter and in the summer. Close to the hotel runs the river Dal with excellent fishing. In the forests surrounding Alvdalen you will find moose, bears, bobcats and the occasional wolf passing by.Beside the hotel is the Porphyrus and Hagstrom museum displaying stone objects an instruments that once was manufactured in Alvdalen. (Elvis, Frank Zappa and many others used to play on Hagstrom guitars from Alvdalen). Near the hotel there are shops, car rental,pharmacy, liquor store, post office etc. So even here, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forest with wild animals, you will find all the services you may require. |
