Nevertheless, as soon as you disembark you will feel the undeniable island atmosphere.Ameland has a big polder, surrounded by woods and beautiful dune areas. Wide beaches run the entire length of the island. The picturesque villages exude the atmosphere of olden days, when the Ameland inhabitants earned their living with shipping and whaling.Hotel Noordsee is a new and luxurious ho-tel. The hotel is situated on the Strandweg, to the north of the village Nes. The North Sea beach is less than a kilometre away. You can find a nature museum and the tropical swimming paradise de Vleijen in the direct vicinity. Cycle and walking paths start at the front door, and are the key to unlocking Ameland's varying landscape. The nearby village Nes is the biggest and cosiest village of Ameland, with attractive shops and pleasant cafes.The hotel offers 110 luxurious hotel rooms. All offer every comfort, including a modern en-suite bathroom plus separate toilet. There is a seating area, television, telephone and a balcony or terrace.All suites are very attractively furnished. The special family suites contain a double bedroom, a separate bedroom for children and a living area with kitchen. The hotel is located near the village Nes on the island Ameland. The island is easily accessible from the main land by a ferry, which takes about 45 minutes. In less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel you can reach the beach, the forest or the village of Nes. |

The "Wadden" from the horizon to the south. There are woods and a beautiful salt marsh area. The village, Nes is a lovely village with lots of shops and restaurants. |
