Strand Hotel is located right in the city centre with the city's best view. Both the roof terrace and several rooms offer a view of the attractions: the fishmarket, Bryggen, Vagen and Floien. The hotel has been completely refurbished during the last few years and now presents itself as a modern first class business hotel. The hotel has such a long history. The hotel building was completed in the late 1920'ies and consisted originally of two separate hotels, "FA?nix Hotel" and "City Hotel". Both hotels was purchased in 1969 by Mr. Ole Jorgen Strand, and have since been operated as one hotel under the name of Strand.Distance to airport, 22 km. Hotel is situated in the very heart of Bergen city opposite the side of Bryggen. Centrally located within walking distance to most attractions and communications centre / links. |
