Today, Bonn's southern quarter is recognised and taken care as a well-maintained residential district from the times of the last empire. The southern quarter, a residential district from the period of promoterism located south of Hofgarten and Poppelsdorfer Allee, is a preciousness of European level. As they were almost untouched by war and rehabilitation mania, most of the grand and elegant houses were maintained as they were built between 1860 and the beginning of the 1st World War.
