Located downtown Canela amidst almost absolute silence, Pousada Cravo & Canela has residence characteristics. Adapted to the European tourism concept, this mansion, a fine example of architecture in the Bavarian Style, very famous at the region, was built in the 1950s and belonged to the former Rio Grande do Sul's Governor Ildo Meneghetti's Family, also owner of a paper and cellulose factory in Canela. In 8,000 sq. m., surrouded by centenary trees and a garden of hortence flower and azalea, we find the pousada with 12 suites, augmented and reformed to adapt them for modern life benefits, such as bar, game room, sauna, swimming pool with hydromassage, events room and business center. Rates showed do not include taxes.

In the "Serra Gaucha" there are many natural landscapes, the Bavarian architecture and enxaimel that dominates the urban surrounding, the parks and lakes. In the winter time the temperature can reach below zero degrees, whereas can easily dominate the romantic routes, as the region is known. It has many touristic attractions. New Petri??polis, Gramado and Canela present an artistic and cultural program in the entire year. It has also many gastronomic events and restaurants well known by the fondue and the hand made chocolates Gramado and Canela have a roadmap of rich food, including numerous houses of chocolate fondues and craft. Is also part of the local tradition the textile industry and typical furniture. In Canela the principal attraction is the "Cascata do Caracol", but is also worth visiting the Alpen Park.
