Located less than 1 mile from Junction 35 of M6 Motorway and within easy reach of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, the seaside resort of Morecambe and the historic city of Lancaster. Rooms have en-suite facilities with shower, tv, tea/coffee facilities and hairdryer. Rooms in our modern extension have additional facilities, power shower set in a luxury marble finished bathroom, telephone and kingsize bed. The Hotels award-winning head chef Sharon Elders brings you the best of British and international cuisine, using local fresh produce. Her menu combines traditional pub dishes with an extensive and imaginative a la carte selection. Packed lunches are also available. |

| We are lucky to be right next to Tewitfield Locks on the Lancaster Canal at the edge of a designated area of natural beauty. Just a mile from junction 35 of the M6, we are perfectly placed for days out to the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales, the seaside at Morecambe, and the historic city of Lancaster. We are very close to two of Englands finest country houses Levens Hall with its famous gardens and Leighton Hall which stages concerts in the grounds in summer, as well as markets and magnificent displays by birds of prey. The lovely market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is just 7 miles away where you can enjoy an afternoon visiting the various boutiques and tearooms. If youre just coming to relax, we are surrounded by lovely countryside for walking Ronnie our resident black lab will show you the way if you like. Close to The Longlands we have fisheries for fishing and approximately 10 golf courses within a 30 mile radius and we can arrange for you to go Clay Pigeon shooting nearby. |

| Restaurant Forgive us for saying so but our restaurant is our pride and joy. Our chef has more passion for food than Nigella herself and is constantly creating new dishes from the ingredients that come fresh from the market every day. As you would expect, we source as much as we can locally and are very lucky to have Burrow's of Silverdale and the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse nearby, to name but a few of our local champions. Everybody is welcome - large groups, children, romantic twosomes, and people eating alone. Our restaurant menu changes seasonally and we are delighted that we have recently been awarded the Taste Lancashire mark of quality which aims to highlight the best restaurants in the county. The Longlands Hotel is five minutes drive from the M6 Junction 35. From there, take the M601 dual carriage way towards Carnforth and Kendal. At the roundabout, take the second exit A6 to Milnthorpe. At the next roundabout take the second exit A6070 to Burton in Kendal. Follow this road for a short way, go over the motorway and the Longlands Hotel is on your right |
