Cesme is one of the most popular summer holiday resorts of Turkey, well known for its clean water and sandy beaches. It is located 53 miles away from Izmir, through the Aegean coastline. Each year, thousands of sportslovers visit Cesme to wind surf. Alacati is among the world?s top 5 places most convenient for wind surfing. It is also famous for its bazaar and restaurants. Some other popular beaches are Ilica with its long coastline, Altinkum with its golden sand and Aya Yorgi. Dalyan, an old fishery village, is where you should stop by to eat fish and delicious Turkish ?meze? (appetizer). Night life is vibrant with clubs, parties and concerts, especially during summer months. If you prefer a more quiet vacation, you should visit Cesme during April and May. Transportation in Cesme is easy with minibus. Or there is the option of renting a car if you wish. |
