Caribbean design style and atmosphere suffuse the El Cozumeleno Beach Resort which contains 252 guestrooms in two towers. The resort many activities include shows produced by the activitiesentertainment staff at the resorts open air theater three nights weekly. A lovely plaza next to the south pool contains a colorful ceramic fountain plus a black and white chess set with pieces the size of third graders. Also within the resort are a small air conditioned fitness center a Kids Club and a dive center to arrange scuba diving and snorkeling excursions. Like most Cozumel hotels the El Cozumeleno recommends against drinking tap water and supplies bottled water.
