A grand baronial property with contemporary styling, this hotel occupies one of the Scottish capitals greatest buildings, formally residence to The Scotsman newspaper. Edgy design sets sheet glass and steel girders alongside the original walnut panelling, stained glass window and marble staircase of the entrance.
The Scotsman Spa and Health club, a private members health club, is located within the hotel and entrance is complimentary to hotel guests. From the North - Follow the A90, then telford road to Crewe Toll take the 3rd exit onto Ferry Road, turning left onto Inverleith Row following until Picardy place turning left and then taking the 2nd exit onto Leith Street crossing over the lights onto the North Bridge.
From the West - Follow the M8/A8 to Hermiston Gait, follow signs for the A71 city centre, continue heading for the centre at Fountainbridge turn on Gardners Crst, then right Morrison St, cont. on Bread St, West Port and the Grassmarket onto West Bow (Victoria st), turn right onto George VI Bridge and turn 2nd left onto Chambers st, then left on South Bridge continuing onto North Bridge
