Originally created as a guest quarters in 1400, it was enlarged in the 1800s and in 1975 it became part of the group of Bettoja Hotels. The Villa originated as a sleeping quarters to the Monastery certosa of Galluzo, one of the most important monasteries in Europe. It was renovated along with other farmyard structures to include a total of 63 rooms and 6 suites, some decorated in rustic Tuscan style and some modern. The rooms and suites overlook the magnificent park which surrounds them, and boast a view of the Tuscan hills and the Certosa.
