From the Airport Amerigo Vespucci the center of Florence can be reached by taxi in about 15 minutes. Bus service is available through Sita-Ataf 'Volainbus' connecting the airport to the central train station (approx. 25 minutes) and runs approximately every half hour for most of the day. To use the Volainbus you need to buy the ticket either at the newsstand at the airport or on board the bus from the driver. For information, toll free ATAF 800 424 500 and SITA 800 373760. S.M. Novella station is about five minutes on foot from the Tornabuoni Hotels ahd Resorts From the highway: Exit Firenze Certosa from North (A1 Milano-Roma) and /or from South (A1 from Napoli-Roma): -Coming from North or from West keep driving on the highway direction Roma and take the exit Firenze Certosa -Coming from South on the highway take the 2nd exit Firenze Certosa: From the Exit FIRENZE CERTOSA follow directions to 'centro', Piazzale Porta Romana. From Piazzale di Porta Romana enter the ancient city gate. Drive straight into Via Romana, then Via Maggio till getting to the river. Across the bridge (Ponte Santa Trinita), continue straight a few meters ahead and stop in the tiny square Piazza Santa trinita.
