Zillertal steam railway The Zillertal Railway runs into one of the loveliest valleys in the Tyrol the Zillertal. The most famous rides are with the nostalgic railway. It is pulled as it was all years ago by a steam locomotive. The narrow gauge track was initially put into service as far as Mayrhofen in 1902. It is 32 km long runs past well-known locations on its single-track route which crosses 35 bridges. In case of good weather you have the possibility to admire heaven after the guided tour through the Planetarium. Opening hours open from December-October Tratzberg castle The slow train the Tratzberg Express travels into the late Middle Ages up to the lovely Tratzberg Castle. Various owners including the famous industrial family of the Fuggers stamped their mark on this unique jewel which became the very embodiment of a 16th century Tyrolean castle and one of the most important cultural monuments in the country. Opening hours Open from Mach till November daily from 10am-4pm Schwaz The silver city Schwaz is the district in the middle Unterinn valley with the medieval flair with lots of buildings from the time of silver mining. In the silver mine the exciting journey begins with a highlight the ride on railway 800 m down into Sigmund Erbstollen struck in 1491. As well the Planetarium is worthwile. Opening hours Silver mine Schwaz all year round Kramsach farm house museum Here 14 farms from the various Tyrolean valley communities are combined in one village. With their many attractive details they are impressive witnesses to a culture that has in part already disappeared. There are ancillary buildings such as sawmills mills smithies threshing floors two chapels which were carefully dismantled faithfully rebuilt in the museum. Opening hours From Palm sunday till 31. Breakfast buffet for the perfect start to your holiday day. Choose from a wide selection of fresh bread organic and museli corner fresh fruit juices fruit and vegetables hearty ham cheese board various egg dishes tea bar or an enjoyable cup of coffee. We will also serve a glass of sparkling wine once weekly with your breakfast. For our long sleepers simply have a lie-in the morning and enjoy your breakfast a little later than usual. Afternoon snack in the afternoon. From Sunday to Friday served between 300 pm and 430 pm - sometimes hearty sometimes sweet. Cakes hearty soups or maybe a light snack from regional produce. Delicious dinner menus to make sure your day ends just as well as it started. 4-course dinners with choice of course vegetarian dishes also available special kids menus fresh salads and vegetables from the buffet cheese board and self-service ice-cream for all guests young old. We will serve up a themed dinner or gala dinner once weekly.
