The hotel has 57 rooms on two floors. 36 standard rooms, of which 10 are single, 20 superior and one suite. All rooms are equipped with TV (local station) and bathtub or shower. The rooms on first floor only have showers. The hoteli??s pleasant restaurant seats as many as 150 people and there are smaller rooms in the hotel and a large conference room 30 metres from the hotel that is well suited for meetings, private parties and other gatherings. The swimming pool at Hotel Klaustur is open all summer and there is a golf course only 5 km from the hotel. |

The hotel is in the village of Kirkjubi??jarklaustur surrounded by a varied and beautiful natural landscape. This South Eastern corner of Iceland is exceptionally mild - statistically proven to have one of the highest average temperatures in Iceland. There are many interesting and beautiful places to visit and near the village. Guided day trips are offered during summer time to the Lakagigar craters and to Nupsstadir Woods. Skaftafell National Park is only about an houri??s drive away (70 km). |
