Newly restyled for 2011, the Milestone is renowned for its exceptional caring service and team, stunning facilities and stellar service. The hotel is part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection - a family run collection of boutique hotels. The shared qualities central to Red Carnations ethos of luxury, generous hospitality, inventive and traditional cuisine, passionate service and loyal staff committed to creating richly rewarding experiences for all their guests which clearly contribute to The Milestones superlative reviews and frequent awards. Originally a luxurious private home, this Grade II listed showpiece of the Victorian era is now restored to its former splendour and offers 56 individually designed rooms and suites and 6 two-bedroom apartments, all lavishly decorated with the finest fabrics and furnishings. Each one beautiful in its own way, custom designed carpets; beautifully handmade curtains and upholstered walls, each with silk and cotton fabrics selected for each room. Art and furniture purchased from Auction Houses was also specifically selected for each room. The exquisite surroundings are matched by the equally sumptuous dining. Choosing fine dining at Chenestons with its lovely mahogany furniture, the chic Conservatory, or the split level Stables Bar, there is more than enough time for relaxed conversation and magnificent food. And inspired by the fact that The Milestones front door is virtually within Champagne cork popping range of Kensington Gardens, why not enjoy the hotels famous picnic in the park. There is a fine choice of wine too: more than 400 vintages.
