The 3 star Hotel Santa Chiara is situated in the heart of ancient Rome. Directly behind the Pantheon and a short walking distance from the famous Navona square makes this hotel an excellent choice as a starting point to discover the many inspiring monuments and historical attractions Rome has to offer. Hotel Santa Chiara is one of the few remaining hotels of its caliber that continues to be owned and run by the same family for generations past. The original structure was primarily a convent. Throughout the years it served to sell wine and olive oil with the possibility of lodgings until in the year 1883 when it became a hotel. Many of the rooms available to our guests have recently been refurbished and there is also the possibility of wireless internet connection in the public areas. In room amenities include air conditioning; mini bar; Sat TV; direct dial telephone and desk with working area. The hotel also includes within its grounds an open space where one can relax with a drink whilst admiring the spectacular view of the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva Church. The Hotels breakfast room has recently undergone refurbishment and provides a rich buffet daily. From 01 January 2011 a Tourist Tax of Euro2 per guest 2 years of age and older and per night will be charged at the hotel which is not included in the total room price. Additional Information; Children age 3 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children over this age will be considered adult and will be charged as adults. It is not possible in most rooms to add extra beds or cots. A separate room must be booked if children are included. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number. |

From FCO-Fiumicino Airport take the Leonardo Express to Termini main railway station. Alternatively a taxi rank is available outside Arrivals. Or from Termini Railway Station take the Express bus number 40 or bus number 64 for Piazza Cinquecento and get off at Largo di Torre Argentina. |
