The hotel Donatello-3 stars-is located in the centre of Rome between the Colosseum and the San Giovanni in Laterano Church and Santa Maria Maggiore Church. Recentely renovated the hotel is run by the Prete family who welcomes in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The 38 rooms-recently refurbished-are laid out in a comfortable and elegant style. All rooms are sound proofed with double glaze windows and feature a private bathroom-with hairdryer-individually controlled air-conditioning-central heating-satellite TV-radio-mini bar-writing desk-electronic mini safe and direct dial telephone. Baby cots are available on request free of charge. Some rooms are with a private balcony. Small pets are allowed. Multilingual staff on the 24-hour desk can help with touristy information. On request at the reception desk a fax service and shuttle service from and/or to the airport. The hotel Donatello-situated between the Colosseum and the two basilicas of St.Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Maria Maggiore-is very close to the Roman Forum and the Trevi Fountain. The international airport is at a distance of 25 km. A train goes from the airport to the train station Termini and from here the hotel Donatello can be reached in a 10 minutes walk. A metro station is also close to the hotel Donatello. By metro the Spanish Steps and Vatican City can be reached in 20 minutes. The fair grounds are 5 km from the property. |
