Originally a Patrician Roman Villa built by Count Paterno Solari in the 19th century, the Giulio Cesare was converted into an elegant town-house hotel in 1969. Owned and operated by the Pandolfi family since then, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk across the Tiber river from Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, and 15 minutes walk from the Vatican City and St. Peter*s Basilica.
