| Maple Lodge is ideally located for access to local tourist sights such as Puzzling World, Have a Shot, Toy & Transport Museum, Air Museum, Lakes Wanaka and Hawea and the townships of Wanaka, Hawea and Albert Town. Numerous restaurants, shops and activities are available in the townships. There are many sporting activities available to guests in the surrounding areas. An abundance of mountain bike tracks and walking trails are available whether for a short hike or tramps of a day or more. BaseCamp Wanaka provides an international standard indoor rock climbing with outdoor climbing being available in nearby areas such as at Hospital Flat. Local ski areas include Treble Cone, Cardrona, Snow Park, Snow Farm all within 25 minutes of the lodge. Golf, sky-diving, paragliding, water skiing, kayaking and bungee jumping are all accessible within 15-30 minutes of the lodge. All sounds a bit too active? Then why not try fruit picking, wine tasting, vineyard tours, scenic flight trips to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound, as well as local river and lake trips. |

A wood burner housed in a schist fireplace provides the ambience of a real fire in the winter.
