This noble building once the residence of the Demidoff family with its fortunate and quiet position on the Lungarno Vespucci has seen as its guests Petr Ilic Cajkowskij who remembered in Souvenir of Florence the impressions from his period in Florence as well as Leon Tolstoi who stayed here during some winters in the late 800s. The building has an incomparable view of the Arno river. The Bellosguardo and the Forte Belvedere in a beautiful setting on the hills give you feelings dated back to the Fiorenza of Michelangelo and Leonardo. While looking towards Torre del Gallo and the hill of Arcetri takes you back to the times of Galileo Galilei and what this city was during the Renaissance.
