About Hotel La Aldea
La Aldea Hotel is just for guests that are looking for comfort and good location. The staff is very helpful and you can get easy access to the internet in the reception area which is very comfortable with a lovely welcoming fire when you come in from a cold and wet day walking. La Aldea Hotel has an excellent location near the bus terminal and rooms are reasonably priced. The room we had was basic but contained a few decorating touches that added a distinctive country feel to the place. The rooms are basic and comfortable we emphasize in the cleanliness.
The hotel is located right next to the border with Chile 200 kilometers from the city of El Calafate. Access is easy the nearest international airport is 220 km El Calafate. You must travel on the RN40 and the RP23 paved that ends at the Lago del Desierto. From the northern mountain range the Ancient to 648 km. the RN40 gravel paving works through Perito Moreno and Three Lakes RP23 continuing through the entrance to El Chalten. You can access the coast from Comandante Luis Piedra Buena covering the 320 miles that separate us from this town by the RP288 and then RP 23 90km of pavement and other debris.
