Gasthof Kirchenwirt is located in the centre of the old mountain town of Schladming, about five minutes away from the famous Planai, perfect location for a starting point for some holiday-activities. At Schladming, a number of ski stars celebrated their triumphs. The skiing world cup events at the neighbouring village of Ramsau are the guarantee for modern ski-lift equipments, well-cared ski runs, etc... The many ski schools (including for youngster and cross country) are ready to reveal the winter sport passion from any beginners. Tobogganing, curling, horse sledge rides, winter-hiking in fresh air provide sufficient reasons to spend their holidays with us, even for the non-sporting ones. Our Dachstein-Tauern region is an ideal base for summer walks too.

Unspoiled nature together with the impressive scenery of the Schladminger Tauern and the Dachstein- massifs are the inviting background for your next winter experience. It is up to you whether you want snow shoeing or to take a gondola ride up to Hochwurzen and finish by sliding down 8 km's toboggan - just feel at ease! For those, feeling more like having a quiet and relaxed time, a horse sleigh ride across the snow glittering countryside or a walk along one of the 30 km's hiking trails will be most rewarding. In summer too, Schladming-Rohrmoos is famous for action and exciting leisure in its beautiful mountain region.
