About Das Triest
Das Triest Hotel is a member of Design Hotels Sir Terence Conran wrote design history in 1996 in Vienna with the hotel DAS TRIEST - In the meantime the structure on the Wiedner Hauptstrasse has become Conrans Austrian work-in-progress - The conference-banqueting rooms and two of the suites underwent a gentle refurbishing in 2004 and in 2005 Sir Terence completely redid the hotels spacious living room and also its gourmet restaurant -the COLLIO - In 2008 there was a re-design of all junior suites to continue the British Designers work. Some 300 years ago the building which now houses DAS TRIEST hotel contained the main stables for the horse-drawn postal route from Vienna to Triest - The building has undergone a few changes since then - The hotel DAS TRIEST is a masterpiece of modern design offering 72 rooms and suites- fully equipped state-of-the-art conference rooms -the COLLIO awarded italophile gourmet restaurant under the direction of chef-de-cuisine Josef Neuherz -the extravagant SILVER BAR and one of the nicest and quietest courtyard gardens in the city
