In Jorgerstrasse you can find a house which is almost 100 years old - it is the Hotel Thueringer Hof. It was built at the turn of the century in the impressive style of a Bougeoise Viennese Town House, and became the property of the Fischer/Wilhelm families as in 1971. At the end of the eighties, the house was completely refurbished. Special care was taken to preserve the exterior facade. After the modernisation of the inner rooms, you will notice that architecture maintained the tradition. When the rooms were furbished, tasteful details, such as chandeliers and old carpets, were added, which gave the hotel a distinguished and guarded atmosphere. The hotel provides more than 80 individually designed rooms, which are equipped with bath or shower, WC, telephone and cable TV and radio. Apart from that, there is a restaurant, an elegantly furbished conference room, a comfortable bar and a day room with a reading-corner. The success of this hotel is still based on the hospitality in a family atmosphere.

Hotel Thueringer Hof is located very centrally, close to the underground station 'Alserstrasse' number U6 and the tram station 'Alserstrasse' number 43. A walk to the famous Wiener Ringstrasse, the university and the Votivkirche takes approximately 15 minutes. The conference centre of the university clinics takes approximately 5 minutes.
