The Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel is a 4 star resort hotel which is located against the backdrop of the Mingsha Sand Dunes in Dunhuang, close to Leiyin temple, historical and cultural embassy etc. It is founded in 1995 with a feature of Han and Tang dynasty, capturing the spirit of the Tang with its unique architectural design, the large rooftops and long corridors of the Han and Tang dynasties, the typical enclosed courtyard style design and mud walls of the northwestern part of China and the replica of the late Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties furniture. It has 267 rooms with modern facilities. It has 3 meeting rooms with max capacity of 800 people. In its restaurants, guests can enjoy Sichuan and Guangdong food in Chinese restaurant and western food in western restaurant. Guests can have a relaxation in its recreational facilities sauna, KTV, fitting center, billiards room etc.

The hotel is located in the resort area of Mingsha hill in Dunhuang. The hotel is near the great sand dunes of Singing Sand Mountains and about 4km to the south of town. They also organize tours to Singing Sand Mountains for RMB200 per person. You can ride a camel to Singing Sand Mountains after breakfast, and admission is included. It will take 3 minutes walking from the city center to the hotel.
