Donghu Hotel is a 4-star member hotel of World Travelers Network(Link to www.hotel-mall.com). It is an international garden style hotel and the subsidiary of Donghu Group, locate in the north-east part of Xuhui District and near to the famous shopping centre , Huaihai Middle Road. The hotel covers an area of 33 Mu with a garden area of 11,000 square meters and a building area of 23,000 square meters. In 1991, Donghu was assessed as a three stars hotel concerning foreign affairs of travel by National Tourism Administration. Building 1 and 2 of Donghu are two five stories houses linking to each other built in 1940. The buildings are once the apartment of Du Yuesheng, a former Shanghai magnate, and have been used by Sino-France Bank, Communications Bank and U.S General Consulate. Building 3 is a four stories apartment built in 1940. There are eight suits with 3 rooms in each suit. Building 4 and 5 are two four stories apartments which were built in 1930's. In No. 7 Donghu Road locate the Building 7(close to Huaihai Road) which was built in 1925. The main building is a French style three stories villa situate within a big triangle garden. Furthermore, there are facilities such as indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, billiard hall in the yard. The Soviet Union commercial office of Shanghai had stationed here in 1950's. With a quiet and tastefully environment, the hotel is covered with flowers and trees which demonstrate everywhere graceful and warm.
