The inn was originally a royally licensed inn which can trace its history back to 1737. Today Hoerning Kro and Hotel is a modern inn and hotel. The 40 rooms are situated in a separate annex and all of them have bath- toilet- cable TV- wireless Internet and IP telephony. For families with children there are family rooms with accommodation for 2 adults and 2 children. Hoerning Kro and Hotel has 8 meeting rooms- banqueting rooms and 4 group rooms all of which with AV equipment. The premises are well suited for arrangements for a maximum of 250 persons. Hoerning Kro and Hotel makes it easier for the guests. You park directly in front of your room and in a few minutes you are on motorway E45 or in the heart of Aarhus. Nevertheless there is every reason to stay at the inn. The rooms are lovely and in the cosy taproom are served both typical Danish inn food and culinary experiences from the entire world. On Wednesdays is served a - Candlelight Buffet on Thursdays - Good old Danish food and each Saturday the restaurant offers the inns large - Hoerning menu. As a guest wrote in a review - The service is first-rate. The atmosphere very romantic... what more is there to say. We will soon return. The inn also frequently organizes beer and wine tasting arrangements. The location close to Aarhus is naturally a large attraction and many of the inns guests use a mini holiday or a weekend stay to get acquainted with the many shops and sights in the capital of Jutland - right from the open-air museum Den Gamle By- the art museum ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum and Tivoli Friheden in the centre of the city to the prehistoric museum in Moesgaard in the magnificent forests south of Aarhus. A special tip is a visit to the Queens garden at her summer residence Marselisborg Slot which is open to the public when Her Majesty is not on holiday in Aarhus.
