About Chateau de Roussan

The Chateau de Roussan is a great mansion built during the 17th Century- which first prestigious owner was Michel de Nostre-Dame- also known as Nostradamus. Surrounded by a magnificent park of 6ha- it is a magical place which invites to resting moments and that will immerge you within the authentic Provence. On its ground floor- and on both sides of its hall and majestic staircase- the castle offers two successive lounges and a dining room- orientated south towards the yard and the park- and north towards the plane trees. A beautiful lounge with an impressive view over the park and the Alpilles mountains- as well as the library and its antique books are both on the first floor. The restoration and the decoration of the Chateau de Roussan were executed with care- in total respect of the site and history. Domain furniture is beautifully combined with portraits- ornaments- vases and surprising- rare and unique objects. All the rooms have an incredible view- some looking over the park- the Alpilles mountains- others over the pond and the rising sun- and others looking north- over the majestic alley of ancient plane trees- described as probably the most beautiful in Provence. The suites and rooms are equipped with beautiful- luminous and modern bathrooms- and all have A/C- flat screen TV with satellite channels- direct telephone line- free Wi-Fi- mini bar and a safe. The peacefulness of the park and the majesty of the mansion provide a respiration comparable to a pause in space-time.
