We only do well the things we like doing. Neither science nor conscience makes a great chef. We might think that these are the words of Nicolas Soulie- the excellent resident chef whose mission is to bring local dishes back into the spotlight. But in fact- they are the words of the famous French author Colette- who spent many a long day in this 15th century chateau writing Le Ble en herbe The Game of Love- one of her best novels. One day we should measure how much the beauty of a location influences the beauty of the literary work written there. Annual closing in January 2011.
