The half-timbered Romantik Hotel Walhalla is the oldest inn in the town with a long history of offering hospitality to travelers. Founded as a simple wine tavern in 1690, the establishment started offering accommodations in 1820 and has now developed into a Romantik Hotel which in the past few years has counted among its guests the Dalai Lama, five royal families and nine national presidents.
