High above Wuerzburg lies Steinburg castle. The name of the dream castle incorporates two facts; First there is the world-famous vineyard the Wuerzburger Stein at our feet and secondly there is the memory of a castle built right here on the Steinberg in the 13th century. Unfortunately this castle could not uphold its claim of a sturdy fortress following its totally ruin during a townsmen uprising ten years after it was built. In 1897 Peter Schneider recreated the Steinburg with much more beautiful visions. Just a little step is all you need to leave the real world behind you and enter into another world for a few precious hours. Our individually styled guest rooms create a suitable and comforting atmosphere. All rooms have minibar; satelite TV; telephone; WIFI; radio clock and bathroom with hairdryer. Shady trees; fresh air and a magnificent view of the fortress Marienberg and the Franconian beauty of Wuerzburg can be enjoyed from our panoramic terraces and are the place to be on sunny days and warm evening.
