Chios is the fifth largest island in Greece. Situated in the North-East of the Aegean Sea just 7 nautical miles from Turkey, it is well-known for its production of gum mastic which is unique in the world. It is a peaceful island which, although not very touristy, has a lot to offer. You can combine relaxation on sandy or stony beaches with touring the island and visiting the picturesque villages of pyrgi and Mesta with their traditional architecture. During your stay you will be able to visit the interesting , historical monuments such as Nea Moni Monastery and the Archaeological and Nautical Museums as well as the Caves of Olympi which are all well worth visiting.
