About Hotel Glymur
Glymur Resort is a family run boutique hotel situated high on a hillside on the northern shore of the beautiful "Whale fjord" just 50 kilometers/30 miles from Reykjavi??k or 90 kilometers/55 miles from the airport. The hotel is open all year around. The name comes from the waterfall Glymur, one of the highest waterfalls in Europe, conveniently located nearby in the fjord. The hotel has a unique collection of art from all over the world and offers a special and welcoming atmosphere.
Where are we? Well, Glymur Resort is located on the northern side of the "Whale fjord" only 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavi??k. From Reykjavi??k you should take route 1 to borgarnes. Once you are out of Reykjavi??k and Mosfellsbi??r you drive for about 15 minutes where you can choose if you want to go around the fjord on route 47 which takes about 15 minutes longer than the tunnel but offers a more scenic view. Then you will continue about 50 kilometers and find the Resort on the right side of the road. If you go through the tunnel you will take a right on the roundabout and continue further for 10 minutes where you take a right on to route 47. There you will find Glymur Resort sitting peacefully on the left side of the road.
