Hotel Orto de Medici is located in a beautiful 19th Century palace in a very quiet street in the heart of Florence - just 5 minutes walk from the Duomo - At entrance level the hotel offers a large reception area on one side and on the other side a spacious lounge with parquet flooring - sofa - television and 2 internet points - Stairs made of serena stone lead up to the four floors and in the middle of the building there is a beautiful corridor with frescoes on the ceiling which goes through the inside garden - On the same level there is a large terrace where guests can relax or have drinks - The breakfast room is nicely decorated with rattan furniture and the two large lounges feature beautiful frescoes on the ceiling and original parquet flooring - The large corridors on the upper floors are made of marble - All of our 42 rooms are well appointed and designed with pieces of antique hand-painted furniture and delightfully decorated in classical Florentine style with hard wood floors - From the windows you may also enjoy a gorgeous view of the world famous medieval red roofs of Florence - A lift serves all floors - Two of our newly designed bedrooms are located on the ground floor - The hotel also offers 1 small meeting room
