About Sardegna Grand Hotel Terme
Sardegna Grand Hotel Terme is located in Fordongianus, set amidst the beautiful and wild surroundings of the hilly inland of Sardinia, in the same spot chosen by the Roman emperor Trajan to build his own Thermae. The Warm coloured stone used to build the hotel and SPA create a special and unique surrounding where our guests are induced into relax. The steel structures, instead, transmit the power of the energy flowing from the under world.. A number of both therapeutic and wellness treatments are available at the SPA whilst the thermal water pools provide unique sensations. The 80 standard rooms and the 10 suites are all spacious, well lit, sound proofed and have ample balconies.
In antiquity, Fordongianus was called Forum Trajani in honour of Roman emperor Trajan, who is credited with the building of what are now considerable Roman remains, including those of a bridge, and of thermae on a scale of great magnificence. The city, in the interior of Sardinia, is known from the Itineraries, which place it on the road from Tibula, through the interior of the island, to Othoca. Fordongianus sits on the left bank of the river Tirsi (ancient Thyrsus), about 25 km from Oristano. Sardegna Grand Hotel Terme is perfectly located for day-tripping around Sardinia, in particular the archaeological sites of the inland, the preservation areas and thermal waters.
