The terrace with the thermal tubs can be used during the warm season to regenerate your body and mind. The restaurant inside the hotel, in a genuine and simple way, offers the best of typical Tuscan dishes. Pienza is overlooking the Orcia Valley. The original name of Corsignano was replaced by today?s name, that is: the city of Pius, in the fifteenth century by Pope Pius II Piccolomini, who was born and spent his childhood here. Probably Pienza is the most renowned and most important art place of all the Orcia Valley, situated not far from the state road Via Cassia. For the beauty of its historical center in pure Renaissance style, Pienza became part of the natural, artistic and cultural world heritage of the UNESCO. Much of the important historical and artistic heritage of Pienza is concentrated in the picturesque square dedicated to Pope Pius II, whose personality has given so much to the town, trying to make his birthplace an "ideal city" of the Renaissance.
