About AMBASCIATORI PALACE HOTEL
The palace was designed by architect Carlo Busiri Vici between 1900 and 1903 and was one of the first buildings to go up in the area, surrounded by vineyards, vegetable plots and gardens. To emphasize that the hotel is part of the countryside, its structure incorporates some of the architectural features typical of large prestigious country houses. Since the early 1900s it was known as the Ambassadors' Palace due to its selected clientele of diplomats and businessmen. In 1993 the interior was restored to its original appearance, interpreting and renewing the existing decor. The plaster corniches, ceiling panels, capitals and arches, columns of Brazilian granite, marble floorings with borders decorated in multicoloured mosaic and the wrought ironwork of the central staircase, have all been restored to their original splendour. The Ambasciatori Palace Hotel offers its guests the very best of traditional Italian hospitality.
Ambasciatori Palce hotel is located in Via Veneto: the street, opened in the Ludovisi Gardens, was destined to endow Rome with an area of large modern hotels, sumptuous cafTs and elegant shops of in standing on a par with other great capitals
