The Hotel Saturnia is housed in palace built in the 14th century (one of the oldest in Venice) that was owned by the Pisani Family, whose most illustrious member, Vettor Pisani (1324-1380) was appointed Admiral of the powerful Republic of Venice during the conflicts with the Genoese fleet over who should control merchant trading in the Mediterranean sea. Established in 1908 by Ugo and Zoe Serandrei, the hotel has been managed by the same family for four generations, welcoming guests from all over the world, creating a solid tradition of hospitality.The large salon on the ground floor, characteristic of Venetian patrician palaces, captures the ambience of ancient Venice.
