About Nikko Senhime Monogatari
The name of our inn Senhime-monogatari might be a tale of princess Sen whose life had ups and downs in the warring states period. The princess Sen's grandfather was Ieyasu Tokugawa who stabilized whole country after the nation wide chaos and he has been enshrined as a god in the Toshogu Shrine in Nikko.
Shrines and Temples of Nikko? were registered as World Heritage site at the 23rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held at Marakesh in Morocco in December 1999
