Magnificent and imposing The Hotel RIGA is housed in a historic landmark building. In the 19th century Hotel RIGA was originally the impressive Hotel de Rome built in 1878. During the war the elegant building was destroyed and in 1956 a completely new grand 6floor hotel building was constructed. It was named after the capital of Riga and aimed to be a symbol of hospitality for the city. The Hotel RIGA is located in the heart of Riga and is a neighbour to the National Opera and Freedom Monument. RIGA is an entryway to the Old Riga where many of the historical and architectural monuments are found as well as embassies banks shopping and entertainment areas.
