Pangkor Laut Resort is on a privately owned island located 3 miles off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca, and it is 250km north of the Malaysia capital of Kuala Lumpur. Only a fraction of the islands 300 acres have been developed to house the resort which blends in to its 2 million year old tropical rainforest setting. The island is reached by the resort ferries from the town of Lumut on the mainland.
