The 5 stars Riad Farnatchi was converted by the current owners father- an award winning British hotelier. Riad Farnatchi now has the feel of a beautiful- highly individual- private house- but the facilities of a world class 5 star boutique hotel. Riad Farnatchi has been totally rebuilt incorporating modern wiring- smoke detectors and heavy quality room doors. The furniture fabulously designed is also comfortable- possibly a first amongst Riads in the Medina. The bedrooms have adjustable lighting that can be romantic and practical- both rather than one or the other. All rooms are individually designed with huge attention to detail- they are the biggest rooms in the Medina and all have the comfort and facilities that you would expect of a world class five star hotel including satellite TV- hairdryer- Bose iPod docs- CD player- desk- separate sitting area- safe- air conditioning- working fire place- fresh fruit- mineral water- complimentary snacks- Egyptian cotton sheets- phone- free WiFi. The public areas on the ground floor are a collection of traditionally proportioned rooms and Bhous- covered sitting areas with one side open to an internal courtyard- that allow guests to either meet together in groups or to find their own private corner.
