Originally built in the nineteenth century as the town residence of Baron van Brienen, the personal advisor of King William III, the property was sold only four years after the Barons death and was soon renovated into a luxury hotel. The atriums magnificent drop chandelier and the colossal marble columns flanking the spacious lobby reflect this hotels heritage. The 92 guest rooms and 13 suites were restored to their former splendour by interior decorator Jacques Garcia.
