About Blanket Bay
Splendid isolation surrounded by mountains, Blanket Bay sits at the north end of Lake Wakatipu, where peace and solitude are guaranteed alongside breathtaking views, glacial tours, serious hiking and easy access to the Queenstown wine trail. Blanket Bay lies near the tiny settlement of Glenorchy on the northern shores of Lake Wakatipu. At the other end of the lake sits the resort town of Queenstown. Approximately 1 hour from Queenstown Airport by car or 12 minutes by helicopter. From Queenstown township, Blanket Bay is a 45 minute lake shore drive. Just to the north is a quiet valley called Paradise, through which the Dart River flows.
