About Hotell Vic Porsgrunn

Porsgrunn developed in the 1650s as Skiens port thanks mostly to its favourable location and good harbour. The history of the hotel goes back to 1825 when Consul J.S.Gasman rebuilt his elegant residence after a major fire. This part is still here today, together with a newer section built in 1956. Hotel Vic has been renovated several times in the course of the years, and is now a high-standard hotel with a sense of tradition.
