A-dos-Cunhados was founded on the 15th of December 1581, and its status was changed to town on the 21st June 1995. The parish town centre is situated twelve kilometres from the city of Torres Vedras and ten from the Santa Cruz beach. Between the Atlantic Ocean and the parish of A-dos-Cunhados is the Santa Rita Beach, where the Areias do Seixo Charm Hotel is inserted in a rural landscape, were tones vary from the seas blue, to the plantationsi??s greens and the earth colours of the dunes.
