Located on the peaceful little Atlantic island of Porto Santo, the Hotel Vila Baleira Thalassa is a resort hotel offering a wide range of activities to suit all ages. Connected to the hotel by a tunnel is the Baleira Thalassa & Spa, the only thalassotherapy centre on the island of Porto Santo.

Porto Santo is also known as the "Golden Island", mostly due to the colour of its sand, covering the 9 km long south coast of the island. The blue of the ocean and the unique temperature of the water, combined with long and soft sand lane, make the beach the rimary attraction for most visitors. Vila Baleira is the name of the main village on the island.
