Petroff Palace hotel is located in 18th-century palace in the North direction of Moscow just 500 metres from the Dinamo Metro Station-a direct metro ride to the Moscow Kremlin-Bolshoi Theatre and Red Square in Moscow city centre. The Palace is a gem of Russian architecture designed by M.Kazakov in 1780. Catherine the Great gave order to build a palace which would commemorate the successful end of the Russian-Turkish war. The Palace is valuable from both historical and architectural points of view. Over the years the Palace was constantly visited by the royalty. Catherine the Great came here in 1787. Paul I stayed here in 1797. In 1812- during the war-Petroff palace housed emperor Napoleon Bonaparters headquarters. The museum on the ground floor of the First Building -a branch of Moscow City Museum -will familiarize our guests with the Palace history.
