Zimbali, Zulu for 'Valley of Flowers', in the heart of a haven of naturally occurring lakes and wetlands. As a protected environment, it is home to a wide variety of wildlife. The ocean provides another life system for exploration by nature lovers, and the lush forest surrounding Zimbali is a birdwatchers paradise. The superb championship golf course offers one of the most breathtaking and scenic golf experiences in the world. 'Service Excellence' is our motto. In order to improve the quality of service to all our golfing guests, out Board of Governors has elected to replant all 18 greens this year. Consequently, Zimbali Country Club's course will have 18 excellent temporary greens in play from 1 August to end December 2006. We'd like to add that these temporary greens will be of a superior quality, which is not expected to have a negative impact on the round of golf. Concessionary rates during the temporary greens period will be available on the Sun International Online Pricelist website. In the event that you are planning your corporate golf day / group event for next year during August to December, we would like to offer you the following options: EITHER: (a) Book your golf day/group earlier than normal, before end July 2006, and pay the usual discounted group rates. OR: (b) Book your golf day during the temporary greens period of August to December and your GREEN FEES ARE FREE, on the condition that you book a buffet meal/function for the group after golf. I.e. all you will pay for is the golf carts and buffet, plus any other extras you opt for. OR: (c) Book your golf group during the temporary greens period of August to December and, if you prefer not to have a function/buffet after golf, pay our member GREEN FEE OF R110 PER PLAYER ONLY, plus golf cart hire. Should you opt for option (a) above, please note that a number of other corporates/groups will also be booking earlier in the year. In fact, our popular days of the week are already filling up considerably with corporate golf day bookings in the first half of next year, so please plan early and book now to avoid disappointment. Please note that the Valley of the Pools on the Zimbali Estate will not be available from now until 7th September 2006 due to renovations. The pool at Zimbali Lodge is however still available to guests.
