The resort is easily accessible as it is only a 35 minute drive from/to the Malaga Airport.The heart of the Resort and its social focus is the Roman Bridge (Puente Romano) from which the property takes its name. This ancient artefact from the first century is the only remaining structure of a road which once linked Cadiz with Rome, the Via Augusta. Built in the style of an Andalusian village, the 285 spacious guest rooms are located in 27 three-storey villas. The buildings are spread in the 55.000 m2 of lush gardens, gently cascading down to the Mediterranean Sea. In the sub-tropical landscapes with small rivers and ponds more than 400 plant life species found their home. Many of them were literally brought in a suitcase to the hotel by the founder of the Puente Romano HRH Prince Alfonso van Hohenlohe.
